Bleriot XI2

Bleriot XI2 1914

The task of this project was the production of a complete aircraft including all systems and the installation of a provided rotary engine. The model used was the aircraft in which Jens Tryggve Herman Gran flew 550km from Peterhead in Scotland to Orrevatnet in Norway on 20 July 1914.

The replica is based on drawings and plans, which we made after surveying the original in the Oslo Technical Museum. Using a large number of original factory drawings as well as documents, made it possible for Mr. Eberhard Fritsch to prepare his replica, based on the original in the Aviation Museum in Paris.

The construction of the replica was carried out under the supervision of the Norwegian licensing authority.
