FOKKER f vii 1928

After a detailed survey and examination, which we carried out together with the curator of the museum, it was determined that the damage to the main spars of this wing in the central area was so serious that a restoration was unavoidable.

In preparation for the repair work, a complete investigation into the history of the wing was carried out, in order to prove its identity beyond doubt. Since there are no factory drawings for this type either, the opportunity was taken to make a complete drawing of the aerodynamic layout, as well as recording all constructional details. Thus, it would make it possible to build a completely new wing at any time.

With a span of 19 meters and a profile depth of 3.80 meters, this was the largest wing we have worked on so far.
