After the successful maiden flight of the Hansa Brandenburg CI in September 2015, test flights continued into spring 2016.

In June, the aircraft was released for two-seat flight operations. By the end of the season, test pilot Saso Knez trained and

released Sebastian Knapp as pilot of the CI for further flight testing.
 

All the test flights ran without any technical problems and were completed in the following season.
